Subscription Terms

The trial

Every new account begins with a 3-day free trial that includes everything Find North offers, including North Together. You don't need to enter a card to start it.

The trial is available once per person. When it ends, nothing you wrote disappears — your space becomes read-only until you choose a membership.

The memberships

Prices are shown in US dollars. The final amount, currency and any sales tax or VAT are calculated and displayed at checkout based on where you are.

• North Plus — $4.99 per month. The complete everyday experience.
• North Premium — $9.99 per month. Everything in Plus, plus deep memory, letters, Your Story and the Comfort Drawer.
• North Together — $19.99 per month. Everything in Premium, plus private circles for up to five people.

Billing and renewal

• Memberships are monthly and renew automatically on the same date each month until you cancel.
• You'll be charged using the payment method you gave at checkout.
• Invoices and receipts are issued by our Merchant of Record and are available in your billing portal.
• You can hold only one active membership at a time. Changing plan modifies the membership you already have — it never creates a second one.

Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrading takes effect immediately: the new features unlock straight away, and the amount is pro-rated so you only pay the difference for the rest of the current period.

Downgrading also takes effect on your existing membership, and the credit is applied to your next renewal rather than refunded. If you downgrade out of North Together, your circles are archived and become read-only for everyone in them — nothing shared is deleted, and it comes back if you return to North Together.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, your access continues while our payment provider retries. We will not silently cut you off mid-thought. You'll see a quiet note asking you to update your payment method, and if the retries are eventually exhausted the membership is cancelled and your space becomes read-only.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Membership in your settings, or through the billing portal. There is no cancellation fee and no exit interview.

When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your space becomes read-only: everything you ever wrote stays readable, searchable and exportable, and nothing new is created until you come back.

Who takes the payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, invoicing and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Price changes

If we change the price of a membership, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before it does. We will never change the price of a period you've already paid for.
